About Us
We are a team of elite and developmental women cyclists with a passion to promote women’s cycling. In a sport that has historically been dominated by men, more and more women have discovered cycling as a path to a healthy lifestyle and self-confidence. Local initiatives such as the Midwest Women’s Cycling Made Real (MWCMR) program have helped to dramatically increase women’s participation. MWCMR is comprised of introductory bike racing clinics, a race series and leader’s jersey, and a deep prize list aimed at attracting and retaining women who have recently discovered the sport.
In 2009, our goal is to continue to support MWCMR and to compete in various races throughout the state and midwest. Verve Racing team members will be racing on the road, at the velodrome, and in the dirt (mountain and cyclocross) and we hope to see you out there too!
